NYMEX Crude Ends Week with Drop

The price of the front-month crude oil futures contract on NYMEX dropped 3%, to $88.96/bbl, the second straight day the price was down after it climbed five straight trading days. For the week, the price was down 2%. The March Brent contract was down similarly Friday, losing 3%, to $89.44/bbl. The Brent price has closed higher than the NYMEX price six consecutive trading days.
