California Consumed 4.8% Less Gasoline in Q2 2008 than Q1 2007

Gasoline consumption in California during the second quarter of this year fell 4.8% compared to the same period the year before, the state's Board of Equalization announced last week. The decline marks the ninth consecutive three-month period that showed a decrease in gasoline consumption. Second quarter 2008 gasoline consumption was 3.8 billion gallons, 119 million gallons less than the 3.9 billion gallons consumed a year ago.
