Reliance Industries Sells 4% of Reliance Petroleum

India's Reliance Industries said it has sold 18.04 crore equity shares in its Reliance Petroleum subsidiary, about 4% of the company. The sale reduces Reliance Industries' stake to 71%. Reliance had previously sold 20% of the company in May 2006 during an initial public offering.
