CNPC commences operations at second Sulige gas processing plant

China:The China National Petroleum Corporation(CNPC)has placed a second natural gas processing plant serving the Sulige field into operation,in order to carry natural gas directly to Beijing through the second Shaan-Jing gas pipeline.The CNPC gas plant,comprising three sets of deoiling and dehydration units,six sets of gas compressors,and auxiliary facilities such as flare stacks,has an annual processing capacity of five billion cubic meters(bcm)and is reportedly the largest of its kind in China.The first plant,which went onstream in 2006,has an annual processing capacity of three billion cubic meters.
