Dietetic Practitioners Part I: Where We Work and What We Do

In October 2005, the American Dietetic Association (ADA) released the results of its Compensation and Benefits Survey, which was conducted from May 11, 2005, through July 5, 2005. So many practitioners in our field have been anxiously awaiting the results of this survey. Surveys were sent by mail to a probability sampling of 30,000, which was taken from all of the 51,409 domestic acting and active-eligible ADA members and all of the 25,561 domestic nonmembers who have maintained current registrationas registered dietitian (RD) or registered dietetic technician (DTK). The results are summarized in this article, and practitioners are encouraged to obtain this report if they are interested in learning all of the details.
