Efficient flow measurement solves bunker fuel problem

Measuring bunker fuel for delivery can be hampered by the trapped air that can be found in the volume of oil. To counter this problem, BP required a highly accurate flow measurement system. A flowmeter supplied by Invensys was able to test the oil mass while excluding the trapped air.
