Remote monitoring reduces wastewater costs

Increasing wastewater treatment requirements prompted a Finnish municipality to take action against the problem of stormwater leakage into its sewer system. A remote monitoring system was installed to allow operators to monitor the volume of fluids being pumped and detect when stormwater leaked into the system.
