Typically, wastewater treatment plants features a variety of pumps, especially those required for sludge-pumping operations. Traditionally, it has been accepted that no single pump type could meet all of the many demands within the wastewater treatment process. Here, Jan Pedersen of ITT Flygt describes the total-package solutions. A wastewater treatment plant features a wealth of different pumps, especially those needed for sludge-pumping operations. After being dewatered, the sludge flow gradually becomes more viscous from the intake on through the process.
