The Thai poultry industry and its national government have set up a new laboratory network to secure the safety of food and agricultural products. Two modern labs are now responsible for testing all products including those prepared for export. In a bid to strengthen its competitiveness in the export sector, the state financed private Laboratory Center for Food & Agricultural Products (LCFA) joins the Ministry of Agriculture Department of Livestock Development (DLD) Bureau o Quality Control of Livestock Products to provide world-class testing for food and agricultural products. LCFA, the state financed Laboratory Center for Food and Agricultural Products Co, located in Bangkok at Kasetsart University, is in operation since May 17~(th) this year. Itowes its origin to the government's campaign to promote food safety and ensure proper sanitation for Thai farm products.
