Construction - Timing key in cold weather project

A Norwegian contractor recently completed a project on the island of Vaeroy. It consisted of deepening the harbour and creating more space to accommodate larger fishing vessels and ferries. Since the harbour's floor was made of basalt granite, the only way to excavate was by drilling and blasting. The contractor was also racing against time to complete the project before the winter set in and turned the water to ice.
