Manufacturing: Robot cell improves workplace ergonomics

A pump manufacturer was looking to replace the labour-intensive fettling and blending operations on its rotor case inlet and outlet ports. ABB Robotics designed and developed a robot-based application solution which is both labour saving and cleaner than the previous, manually-intensive production methods the company had used at its port welding and finishing facility in Europe.
