Accurate dosing with single shot dispensing

A Belgian brewery required a pump which could accurately dose liquid sugar into beer, in order to fulfill an ongoing order. A close-coupled peristaltic pump was chosen which features accurate single shot dispensing. The peristaltic technology eliminates the risk of contamination by ensuring nothing but the tube touches the fluid. Situated some 80 km southwest of Brussels, just 2 km from the French border is Brasserie de Blaugies. Termed a 'microbrewery', the company is run entirely by members of the Carlier family. Today the brewery produces approximately 5,600 I of beer per month. A new 520 Series close-coupled peristaltic pump from Watson-Marlow Pumps Group has been installed at the brewery where it is helping to dose very specific quantities of sugar into premium beer. The new project was reliant on accurate, contamination-free dosing.
