摘要

This paper focuses on investigating the influence of geological uncertainty to modern mining related dewatering measures, namely horizontal directional dewatering (HDD) wells. The traditional approach of drilling, planning, and groundwater modelling is extended by the dimension of geological uncertainty using the technique of conditional simulation in geostatistics. Results of a case study demonstrate the benefit of using such methods, as they allow the evaluation of the exploration level in order to obtain sufficient knowledge about aquifer geometry to optimally place the filter section. Furthermore, results offer a way to quantify uncertainty in predicting filter-well output and can be used for a best model fit.
