Exposure to isocyanates during brush application of a 2-pack paint

In this study, researchers at the Department of Defence in Australia investigated occupational exposure to isocyanates during brush/roller application of 2-pack polyurethane paints and from light manual sanding of polyurethane paints.Exposure to isocycanates during spray painting is well documented and limited studies in temperate climates indicate negligible levels of exposure (i.e. at or below the level of detection) during roller/brush application.
