The challenge for the furniture industry is the use of coatings that meet the EU Directives VOC emissions limits, whilst still maintaining high coatings performance. This paper describes a newly developed waterborne acrylic binder with a favourable price performance, which required the optimisation of the particle's morphology, chemical composition and inherent ambient self-crosslinking chemistry.
