摘要

There are many ways to design an acrylic polymer. The most common method involves balancing a selection of monomers with different glass transition temperatures in order to obtain the desired mechanical properties. Rheology is more linked with the composition of the stabilising system. The chemical resistance properties are afforded by the appropriate selection of functional monomers. The functionality of the polymer backbone can also be designed to give strong bonding to inorganic materials (pigments, substrate etc), which can lead to the better and more efficient distribution of pigment and extender particles.
