摘要

Waterborne industrial coatings value hardness, block resistance and dirt pickup resistance, which may be obtained using high Tg polymers. However, high Tg polymers need significant levels of coalescent in order to achieve satisfactory film formation, which in the current low VOC landscape is undesirable. This paper details a concept called Designed Diffusion Technology, a two polymer system where small amounts of a soft specially designed polymer (DD) is added to a high Tg dominant phase polymer (A) to accelerate early property development.
