Flexible polymer coating and coated flexible substrates

Substrates,such as textiles and leather,are often coated in order to improve their appearance or to convey certain resistance properties(eg water resistance,scratch resistance or UV resistance).These properties are often provided by relatively rigid coatings,which would readily crack and peel off these flexible substrates.
