Rockwood acquires French and Spanish assets of Holliday Pigments for EUR46m

US speciality chemicals company Rockwood Holdings is to acquire ultramarine blue producer Holliday Pigments from Yule Catto for EUR46 million. The pigments business includes Holliday Pigments International SA, Holliday's manufacturing and R&D headquarters in Comines, France, and Holliday Chemical Espana. Holliday's operations in Hull, UK, were closed last year so that all ultramarine manufacturing was concentrated in Comines.
