Recirculating aquaculture systems — or RASs — have been with us since the late '80s, maybe earlier depending on what you consider to be "RAS".The early operating systems and the early industry models were, respectively, full of promise and full of promises. The promise was a climate-controlled metho< of production that would maximize wate quality control and growth potential and minimize water use, while at the same time allowing farms to be strategically located close to markets, labour pools an< infrastructure support.
