Missouri fish hatchery gets another upgrade: New solar heating system a key ingredient

The US federal government has approved 4.5 million dollar in economic-stimulus grants for projects at fish and wildlife conservation areas in Missouri, with 940,000 dollar of that allocated for solar power and environmental-design certification for the Neosho National Fish Hatchery. The hatchery is located in southwestern Missouri, at the western edge of the Ozarks, which means, according to a spokesperson for the facility, that the water doesn't get as cold in winter as in some other places in the US.
