Arizona gov't breeds fish to help fight mosquito infestation

For the last two summers, staff at the Phoenix Zoo in Arizona have been babysitting some mosquito fish, Gambusia affinis, for the Maricopa County Vector Control office. The county is using the little fish to help battle mosquito infestations and prevent instances of potentially deadly West Nile virus in the region.
