Sasol Achieves Production of 1.5 Billion Barrels of CTL Fuels

South Africa's Sasol announced recently that it has produced nearly 1.5 billion bbls of liquid fuels from coal since first producing a sample of synthetic oil from coal at its Sasolburg coal-to-liquids-i(CTL)plant near Johannesburg in 1955.Sasol operates the world's only;commercial-scale CTL plant in Secunda,,South Africa,where 150,000 bbls of CTL fuels are produced each day.
