Chevron Corp.recently completed its acquisition of Unocal Corp.,after Unocal stockholders approved the transaction.The deal will strengthen Chevron's upstream holdings and put an end to a nearly decade-old controversy over Unocal's reformulated gasoline(RFG)patents under a settlement reached with the U.S.Federal Trade Commission(FTC).
