Heating furnaces play an important role in modern oil-refining and petrochemical units:they are responsible for more than 50% of the total power consumed and more than 50% of harmful emissions into the atmosphere [I].For this reason,improving the designs and increasing the efficiency of heating furnaces and reducing the amount of harmful substances emitted by them are very important problems.Old heating furnaces have been replaced by new modern designs in almost all oil refineries in Russia in recent years.
