Rising crude prices has helped the second-largest oil producer in Russia rake in a net income of $3.25B, up from $1.95B from the year before. Additionally, sales jumped 35% to $34.9B. During this period total production dropped 4.7% to 2.14MM b/d and oil output fell 5.5% to 1.84MM b/d. As a result of decreased outputs and increased domestic refining, exports fell 15% to 62.1 MM b/d. Nonetheless, Lukoil attained higher profits by taking advantage of a 48% jump in Urals crude prices to $113.73/bbl.
