Argentina and Indonesia have both been attempting to fight anti-dumping duties from EU authorities who say that the country's biodiesel is subsidized to the point where it is sold below the cost of production, undercutting European producers. On Nov 19, the EU announced the imposition of a five-year tariff on both countries' biodiesel. The exact rate will vary by company, ranging as high as ?245.67/mt ($332.05)—amounting to more than a quarter of the fuel's selling price and more than double the provisional tariffs that were imposed in May 2013. Representatives from both countries have said they will fight the measure in court.
