The Turkish refiner has invested $2.7B in a new coker at its Izmit refinery that will allow for 4.25MM mt/y (78.IK b/d) of fuel oil to be converted into 2.9MM mt/y (59.7K b/d) of diesel, 520K mt/y (12.1K b/d) of gasoline, and 690K mt/y of petcoke that Tupras plans to sell to local cement plants. Tecnicas Reunidas SA (TRE) has been contracted to install the unit.
