US EIA stock report shows big boost in crude, but draws in products.

Combined, EIA crude and product inventories increased over the week ending Sept. 1 by 2.4MM bbl to 762.3MM bbl. Crude stocks jumped by a larger-than-expected 3.43MM bbl to 361.7MM bbl, as refiners slashed utilkation rates. Conversely, product inventories slid, with gasoline supplies decreasing 212K bbl to 225.4MM bbl and middle distillate stocks losing 739K bbl to 175.2MM bbl.
