The state-operated engineering contractor may purchase equity shares in refinery and petrochemical projects in which it is likely to be involved, Managing Director A.K. Purwaha said on Feb. 4. EIL has already provided engineering and construction consultancy services to nearly all of India's refineries, PC plants, oil and gas production and processing projects, and pipelines.
