According to the EIA, the national average retail price for regular gasoline was $3.678/gal on July 7, a 2.6￠/gal decrease from the June 30 price, while RFG's national average was $3.831/gal, a 1.9￠i/gal drop on the week. Houston, Texas' $3.443/gal was the lowest price for both regular gasoline and RFG, while Los Angeles, California's $4.187/gal was the highest for both grades. Recent jumps in international crude costs have underpinned pump prices, but the crude rally appears to be waning.
