US coking margins plummet for Maya and inch up for Mars.

Coking margins for Maya crude plunged into the red during Oct. to end at negative $2.51/bbl on Nov. 4, down from a high of $10.52/bbl seen on Aug. 26. In contrast, cracking margins for Light Louisiana Sweet (LLS) and UK Brent, and coking margins for Mars all climbed in late Oct. after dropping in the early part of the month. As of Nov. 4, Mars coking margins were the strongest at $1.28/bbl, followed closely by LLS cracking margins at $1.20/bbl.
