According to Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mines Jero Wacik, Iraq has agreed in principle to a deal under which it would supply Indonesia with 300K b/d of Basrah Light crude for 20 years or more. The deal is contingent on Iraq's taking part in a refinery project that the Indonesian government hopes to have built in east Kalimantan, and which Wacik said would be completed in 2018, provided financing can be arranged and groundbreaking accomplished before the end of 2014.
