US crude, product inventories climb with crude at fresh record high.

Combined EIA crude and product inventories increased over the week ending April 30 by 5.3MM bbl to 725.5MM bbl. Stocks of crude oil increased 1.7MM bbl from the previous week's record high to settle at a new, all-time peak of 399.4MM bbl, despite a decline in imports and a flat refinery utilization rate. The refinery utilization rate was steady on the week at 91% of total capacity. On the other hand, crude stocks held at the NYMEX WTI delivery point of Cushing, Oklahoma posted another weekly dip, down 612K bbl to 25.43MM bbl, the lowest since at least Oct. 2009.
