'Bakken Blitz' may alter crude-by-rail transport in the US.

The head of the Dept, of Transportation's Pipeline shipments from North and South Dakota will be undertaken by the PHMSA and US Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Dubbed the 'Bakken Blitz', the review will focus on whether rail manifests accurately reflect the cargo being moved and that trains have the proper staffing of personnel. Commenting on the review the head of the PHMSA stated, "We are looking for crude in these cars, measuring to ensure the quality of that crude is wha [shippers] say it is."
