Spot LNG prices in Asia and Europe are finally showing signs of stabilizing. Over the past week, prices in Northeast Asia inched down 5¢ to $14.85 per million Btu, and in Southwest Europe held firm at $9.50/MMBtu, according to WGI assessments for spot cargoes four to eight weeks out. Cold weather pushed up prices at the UK's National Balancing Point (NBP) by $1.34 to $9.56/MMBtu, as assessed by WGI, although mainland Europe hubs firmed less markedly. March NBP futures were up 69¢to $9.10/MMBtu.
