摘要

The Mediterranean spot market firmed markedly this week on the back of tighter supply and stronger buying interest, while persistent nuclear capacity uncertainty in Japan continued to bolster Asia gas demand (p8). The Southwest Europe price jumped $1.80 to $11.80 per million Btu over the last week, while Northeast Asia rose 500 to $15.80, according to WGI assessments for spot cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks out. News that Qatar plans to close three of its largest trains consec-utively for two weeks each for maintenance from mid-September to early November had little impact on spot gas at Britain's National Balancing Point (NBP), which held flat at $9.18/MMBtu, as assessed by WGI.
