Italian police Monday arrested five people,including three BG executives past and present,in connection with a long-running inquiry into alleged corruption involving the company's Brindisi LNG project in southeast Italy.The arrests came four days after BG Group Chief Executive Frank Chapman admitted that plans for the new import terminal had slipped for the second year running,with Brindisi no longer expected to start operations before 2010 (WGI Feb.l5,p2).
