In case someone missed the message earlier,Brazil's state-controlled Petrobras made clear last week that gas is now high on its agenda.Petrobras plans to invest 18 billion over the next 10 years with its partners to develop gas and oil fields in the offshore Santos Basin.Its production targets are 12 million cubic meters(424 million cubic feet)per day by the second half of 2008 and 30 MMcm/d(1.06 billion cubic feet per day)by 2010.The investment figure for Santos is in line with the company's 2006-10 investment plant(WGI Aug.31,p2)."What was new was how the pizza was sliced," Mauro Andrade,manager at Deloitte Petroleum Services,told WGI.The investment plan released last week focused on five main "poles" for development of nonassoci-ated gas production,with minor oil finds expected.
