Over-Sized Indian Find

The Gujarat government Sunday trumpeted a massive gas find of up to 20 trillion cubic feet by the soon-to-be partially privatized Gujarat State Petroleum Corp.(GSPC).It was billed as the country's largest gas find ever - something which Indian companies now routinely say in India's increasingly politicized gas exploration environment - and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said the revenue from the "Deen Dayal" gas find would go into educating children living on less than 500 per day.
