摘要

Asian spot LNG prices have crashed more than 40% in the past four months as ample supply has overwhelmed muted demand, but that could be about to change, industry players suggest. The start of the Northern Hemisphere winter may well send market bears into hibernation, pushing up prices in the near term, while the medium-term outlook remains strong, barring a further deterioration in the global economy or major political crisis. "Spot prices [are] now much more competitive heading into winter. Near-and medium-term fundamentals look supportive," BP's head of LNG supply and trading, Jonty Shepard, told an industry conference in Singapore last week.
