Oman LNG Prospects Not Turning Up Yet

With growing domestic energy demand competing for limited gas supply, Oman LNG has at least another year to wait before it can obtain additional feedstock for potentially lucrative spot LNG cargoes. Indeed, with gas-short Oman's long-term LNG contracts extending for about 10 more years, any decision on whether the country will give greater priority to domestic use or to LNG is probably a decade off.
