摘要

Weather was the main active agent in LNG markets over a quiet last week of the Western holiday season. Cooler weather in Northeast Asia saw that spot price edge up 100 over the last two weeks to $9.85 per million Btu, while milder temperatures left the Southwest Europe price down 100 to $8.90, according to WGI price assessments from Monday for spot cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks out. WGI did not publish in the holiday week of Dec. 27. Netbacks for Mideast exporters are now higher on sales to Northeast Asia than to US and European terminals, while Atlantic Basin sellers have more incentive to ship to Southwest Europe than to any other region, including Northwest Europe (see table below).
