Gazprom continues to intensely promote its global commercial and geopolitical ambitions. Although little concrete information has yet emerged on joint investment plans being hatched by the "gas troika" of Russia, Iran and Qatar, Gazprom Deputy Chairman Alexander Medvedev did reiterate at the Russian Gas Forum in Moscow this week that Iran's giant South Pars is the focal point for discussion (WGI Nov.12,p1).
