The momentum behind Asian winter LNG buying appears well-sustained into November, with news that Tokyo Electric Power Co.(Tepco) is looking to raise its LNG imports yet again.Without a firm date for reopening its over-8 gigawatt Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear complex,Tepco says it will buy more than 20 million tons of LNG in the fiscal year ending Mar.31 in order to minirnize even costlier crude and fuel oil purchases. That compares to an earlier purchase target of 18.8 million tons, and expectations before July that it would buy only 17.5 million tons this year (WGIAug.8,p6).
