Gaz de France(GDF)and Suez have posted what are probably their final annual results as separate firms,prior to GDF's takeover of Suez energy assets,"expected in first-half 2008."Unfortunately for the two,GDF's new LNG terminal in southern France will take a little longer.Commissioning on the 8.25 billion cubic meter(6 million ton)per year Fos Cavaou LNG import terminal has been postponed until first-half 2009,instead of the scheduled mid-2008 opening,after testing of the plant on Feb.12 caused buckling of regasification pipework,although no injuries(WGI Feb.27,p3).
