Brazil's ambition to produce natural gas from ultra-deepwaters took a major step forward earlier last month,with initial laying of a key offshore pipeline.Norwegian contractor Acergy expects to finish laying the deepwater section of the subsea gas pipeline from state-run Petro-bras'Mexilhao gas field in Brazil by late this month or early October,Acergy's vice president for northern Europe and Canada,Oyvind Mikaelsen,told WGI:"Everything is going according to plan so far."
