摘要

As the fossil fuel with the lowest emissions, natural gas could have been expected to benefit from the transition to a low-carbon energy future. Instead, it is being pushed to the sidelines, the International Energy Agency (IEA) says (WGI Aug.31'16). In its first-ever detailed analysis of spending across the global energy system, released last week, the Paris-based energy watchdog found that global investment fell 8% to $1.8 trillion in 2015, with a drop in oil and gas upstream spending outweighing continued robust investment in renewables, electricity networks and energy efficiency.
