Asian and European Prices Sink Further Under Weak Spring Demand Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia sank 100 to a new record low of $4.15 per million Btu on persistent weak spring demand, according to WGI assessments for LNG cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. In Southwest Europe, prices fell 50 to $3.95/MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price was assessed 120 lower at $3.85/MMBtu, while May futures fell 50 to $3.77. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were around $1.20 higher than in Southwest Europe, while UK/Belgian netbacks were roughly $1.40 lower than Asian netbacks.
