LNG spot prices have almost halved in Northeast Asia since the start of the year as end-user demand remains subdued, resulting in an unusually liquid market and changes in global LNG flows. Qatar has been sending more cargoes to Europe in a bid to stem the Asian price decline, while European re-exports have surged.
